Today I have a throttle problem which has started. The pedal is fine till the last inch or so of travel, it then gets stiff and notchy. I have lubricated the pedal and around the base of the cable, to no effect. Both ends of the cable seem fine, whats happening? The carb end is working perfectly, it sounds from the noise its making to be coming from the pedal end.

found the problem... the throttle spindle was really dried out and nearly rusty at the opposite end of carb. A clean up and grease sees the throttle perfect, checked the cable out too, nowt wrong with that,

cheers, I thought the cable was the culprit as it was really sticky and happened all of a sudden... took me a while to find the problem! Its always nice when a fix costs nowt though!!!

now the lubricant has seeped in everywhere the throttle resonse is fantastic, its like the car has a new engine!!! its never been so eager, brilliant.
