I have read posts about this, but there are still a few questions I would like to ask.

Has anyone done this conversion, any difference in running?

Will I need to rewire anything or can I just take the wires off the existing coil and put them on the electric one?

Can i use existing spark plugs and leads?

Do the distributors wear out, I've found one on an Uno 45 with 60k on the clock.

I want to do this conversion because I'm fed up with the car loosing power, usually on a damp day, and also because I think the cam is badly worn on the dizzy.

I would try the Luminition supplied Newtronic kit. I've never used their electronic ignition conversion kits, but I have used Luminition programmable ECU's in BMW's and they make some very good stuff.

They list a kit for the Panda and the Uno...

FIAT
Uno 83-91 DU 525345A T101A
Panda 79-85 DU 525243A T101B

Full details can be found here along with other contact info etc...
