At Gainsborough, I would like to organise a Cruise.!!

Intention is to take over a local Roundabout and just keep going round it  while we get someone with a decent camera to film it!!!!
It'll look like there are milions pf Pandas at the meet and if we get into any trouble - we can get Alan D to do the talking!:p

Please can someone bring a decent Video camera?????

Unless of course there is somewhere to turn around off the roundabout as we could leave it and then go back on.

Lol! Have to be quick if we can only go around 3 times....:D

If we had 4 cameras we could edit the film and make it look like we've got 4 times as many Pandas and went around 12 times(y)
Or there's always tescos car park after 4pm!!!! should be empty! we can drive around that!!!!:bang:

My god! Aren't we a bunch of Anoraks!!!!:p

If you had four people with camera's that would be 4 less panda's ? If you are going for a cruise, a roundabout is a bit short.

So we have moved from a meet, to Tesco's & commiting offences

Lol! sorry! I didn't know roundabout thing was an offence:eek:
I am sorry about the venue change but can't be helped - Tescos does seem an easy place to meet - unless anyone knows a betterlocal place there.
I did know a local pub there but it was a bit NF if you know what I mean:(

(y) Just thought rather than get on the wrong side of the law how about a gathering at a Local Park with a large car park we have a big one in Halifax ok its close to me(y) but their must be some in your area:D Hope Alan D can help all of us on this one:worship:

Hmmm, Although Gainsborough isn't that far from me, I don't know it that well as regards ability to suggest an alternative location to Tesco.

There is a nice Ice Cream place at Blyton about 5 minutes North of Gainsborough though, called Blyton Ice Cream funnily enough, don't know whether they will be open or take too kindly to a Panda meet.

Out of interest, how come we aren't meeting at the School anymore Sprox??

Or, there is Sargent's Ice cream parlour and cafe at HIBALDSTOW, about 15mins North East of Gainsborough, near Brigg, and about 5 mins from the M180.

They definitely have room for a meet because I went to a Fiat 126 Club/Microcars meet that used it as a finish point there last February. Whether they would object to a ragtag bunch turning up and hanging around, I don't know I suppose you just have to buy loads of Tea, sandwiches and Ice Cream:D

Actually how about this.

We meet at Tescos in Gainsborough at 12. I can then lead a Panda convoy to Hibaldstow, where we have Tea,Coffee,Food, Ice Cream whatever. Then when people want to go they have easy access to the Motorway M180?????

OK people, seen as the concensus is that is OK, and as I am also probably the most local, I will DEFINITELY be there, to lead to Hibaldstow. Especially as I am sure no one really relishes the prospect of a Sunday afternoon in a Supermarket car park, were they only let you stay 2 hours, and that's only if you go shopping........

The 15 minute journey I mentioned is cross country via backroads. This is OK if you are in a hurry, or just on a regular journey, but as there could be a good Panda convoy that we would want to show off to the world (y) then it will be more fun to take the longer route (30 minutes) on the main roads. This will be the A631 East out of Gainsborough to Caenby Corner, then the A15 North to Hibaldstow. The A15 is actually Britain's straightest road (the Roman Ermine Street) from Lincoln to the M180 Junction 4. Hammond tested the recent Ford Mustang on Top Gear on this stretch of road as it is so straight (cos they didn't think the Mustang could do corners:D)

I'll definitely be there and look forward to it:)

Cheers

Vin
