Hi everybody, only my second or third posting so a liitle bit nervous asking questions but here goes.
My H reg 4x4 74k on the clock developed a squeaky front wheel.read some of the postings and came to the conclusion it was the wheel hub.
Followed the very good guide to replacing it and managed to do it quite succesfully, well twice actually as i managed to put the protection plate the wrong way round,(idiot, I wont make that mistake again)
The old hub looked knackered.
1st point . the original wheel hub nut did not have a washer. but I put one on the new one. Is that correct ?
2nd point. The front brake pads had no anti rattle clips when I took them off, and because of the holiday I had to put them back on without clips. Is that a no no ?
And now the squeak has come back. Damn.
Could it be the drive shaft ? and could it be packed with grease if I can slip off the drive shaft rubber.
If so what sort of grease do I use?
One of the centre exhaust hanger/rubbers broke and cracked the exhaust pipe before the back box, cost me ten quid for a bandage ,
some compound and a new hanger. I love cheap motoring.
Finally are all Panda doors the same ? as the two on ebay look better than mine, and redder.
And finally finally is T cut the best for taking my orange Panda back to its original red colour.
Thanks for your time.
