Anyone got any ideas as to what are the best shocks to use for improved handling and a stiffer ride?

i thought the stiffness was down to the spring choice... Koni's all round with eisbach springs...

alternatively do what i did and find anyone selling them at a reasonable price... pick the lowest bidder.

How easy is it to change the shocks and how long will it take? I really dont like the way my panda feels on roundabouts that have ridges going across the roads on the exit, always makes the rear feel really unstable :s

monroe shock on rear and on front, both gas, very good. sensatrac. Cost me 220 euros off ebay.

Rears are very easy only 4 bolts, front's are relatively easy 4 bolts + top mounts. But you will need spring compressors or have a mate that's got them.

Do you need spring compressors for the front and rear ones?

I think you do! 2wd pandas don't have rear leaf springs..... they have coils...

Just for the fronts. The 2wd panda does have coils on the back but due to the design they can be safely removed without compressors. cheers Damon

but the springs are in a seperate location to the dampers on the rears suspension... so all you have to do is take the weight off the dampers and you can unbolt them easily (they have lock nuts on them to stop it being too easy).

Keep forgetting about your car Tony yes it's easy for everyone except Tony :)
they were 2wd dampers!!! I didn't think to check i must admit...

Wheres the best place to get the shocks? I saw somewhere slling the konis but they were about £60 each which seemed a bit excessive.

Also, do you notice a bigger difference when swapping the front or rear shocks?
