Bought a K-Reg Fiat 1000 Panda Fire three weeks ago, done 50k miles.

It was running fine until one day decided not to start, 1st thought was the battery, as the starter motor wasn't turning over very fast. So changed the battery, but had the same problem a couple of days later..

It seems a strange problem as sometimes it starts fine, and other times it needs a push-start.

Any ideas very welcome!

check your distridutor points there is an allen key bolt on the side of it have a play with that if that dont work try replacing the points see if there pitted or fooked coman problam.

Possibly not.

K reg could be electronic distributor and single coil, or twin coil and no distributor.. that is for K, 93 on.

Ignore all that for now: Start with the basics I forgot about the last time we had grief with battery going soft: check the alternator drive belt

Check the alternator connections too. Mine were loose a while ago and gave the same symptoms
