I have finally got round to looking at the heater on my panda, becuase it is stuck on hot all the time (I think this lowers the engine temperature to 80). The weather is warm and muggy at the mo so I really need to sort this out.

I'm pretty sure its to do with the little cut off in the pipe to the heater matrix, which has a wire connecting it to the heater controls. Could this be the reason, if so any way to fix it without taking the pipe off the matrix, which is probably quite time consuming.

When did you start this post? It's mid september now, hardly Summer!

Have you checked the control wire is connected both ends?

ok, we're maybe not in 'official' summer, buts its still quite warm (in Devon anyway).

I have checked that they are connected at both ends and when someone moves the control I can see the little thing move.

I had the same problem, however I replaced the heater matrix because there was a crack in the plastic valve thing that controls the flow loosing all the coolant. changing the heater matrix wasn't a too bad job once you got into it looks a lot more difficult than it actually is.

Drove it in March with no heater at all, which was not fun trying to get the car defrosted and stay defrosted in the morning !!

Lovely hot and cold air now !!
