Does anybody know if the 1.3 engine out of the GTie Y10 will fit a panda :)

No idea, but surely a better option would be the 1242 Punto engine? Similar capacity and in 75 form almost as powerful if not as powerful. Plus it's a nuts and bolt swap (y)

Why are you asking? Have you got one of these 1.3 Y10 engines? I think it was the same as the 1.3 Uno/ Strada/ X1/9/ Delta engine but could be totally wrong

I only know cos I bought the bits recently so im not been a smartarse. Its my only bit of specialist knowledge so I have to flout it a bit :D The various Y10s use the FIRE gearbox with a different bellhousing. The ratios are unique and differ between models. The gearbox mountings and linkages are identical to a Pandas. Cant speak for the Selectronic Y10s

Heya, ive been lookin into this a little over the last few years, and have been told the y10 turbo conversion was a common one in the past! So i think its possible, but the y10 turbo is rarer than an Mk1 panda :D so would be lucky to find an engine! There are easier conversions into fire panda's anyways, i was lookin into puttin an punto engine in one, i think that has been tried and tested in that team pandamonium panda!
I will probly be picking peoples brains all the time on this topic over the next year as i have almost decided on my final year university project :D The formula student team i'm currently a member of has proven to disapoint me. (bastard team members.....say no more!!). So a project like a engine conversion in a panda seems like a win win situation!
Anyways, me be a rambling  does this mean that ur thinkin putting a y10 turbo in a panda then?
cheers
Si

One of us really should 1242 a Panda. Maybe I could make one as a toy after uni. It could be orange and everything.
