hi just brough a panda today after it being stood for a year or so, i started first time once i put some fuel in. however came to start it a day later and it wont start. it turns over but wont start! anyway took carb to bits (although its an injection model) thought there might be some dirt been pulled through, but no all clean. poured some petrol direct into carb and it strats but dies when fuel runs out. anyway had a twidle with the wires round that area then all of a sudden it pisses fuel into the carb and floods its self but wont start still. anyway back to square one now. no fuel being let into carb and it wont start.

i have reset the ecu several times and can only assume its something electrical any advice would be great .
its a k plate 999cc injection model.

thanks

ps how can you tell if your ecu is nackard? and where would i get another and how much are they?

first thing to do is change the fuel filter... stay as far away from anything electronic/electrical...

second thing to do is clean the carb... or borrow a spare off someone that hasn't got 1 year old petrol crud in it. (but this doesn't sound like it's the cause of your problem)... the debris from the bottom of the tank will now be mixed with the new fuel after it has evaporated.

seriously fuel system first... they are much cheaper than the ECU
carb next...

then hammer

oo! dodgy fuel pump?
Petrol jellifies if it's left standing for a long period so possibly a blockage is the problem or the fuel pump has siezed...

hi there is def no blockage as i already have fuel coming through, ive had the carb in bit but can see no problem which is what makes me think it is electrical. are ecu interchangeable between cars as i have another panda?

you should check the wires in the dizzy and the electric thing (cant think of the name) on the dizzy.

Dave.

You've checked its pumping fuel? The fuel pump died on my CLX in dunkirk! Its an arse to replace as its located inside the tank :/ Theres an easy check if not rather dubious.. remove the fuel in line from the injector and crank the engine, fuel will **** out of the pipe if its pumping
I never had the injector break on mine but its possible...
