General rear disc conversion on my panda.

One of the problems with the new Ford ST and numerous other new cars is that after a hard thrashing and parking up the handbrakes go loose after the rear disks cool... my bosses ended up in the middle of the road at the bottom of his drive after 10 minutes of parkage.

drums are better for keeping things where you expect them to be... they are easier to free up ( hammer works good ) and cheaper... they just don't look as trick

well then you would be mad to do a rear disc conversion! rear brake bias is a dangerous thing

If i HAD done the conversion, i was planning on getting the front brakes off a UT, but seeing as that idea has gone out of the window, i will be leaving the front calipers as standard, and getting the grooved rear drums :)

yeah im sure there an improvement over standard but to be talking of rear disc conversions i would have thought a front upgrade as in bigger discs and calipers would been on the cards
he's got 13" wheels on the car... it's a little cramped with the standard calipers.
