Hello everyone and Happy New Year to you all.

I've got my Panda booked in for Waxoyl treatment at a Fiat specialist, next week. This involves cleaning and spraying the underside of the car, and injecting it into the drain holes. Have any of you lot had it done, and would you recommend any other areas to be given the treatment?

Thanks.

Paul

Not had any Waxoyl treatment on mine yet, but this has been recommended in an earlier post https://www.fiatforum.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=674 by SteveYensen. Steve advises that you can get this stuff at Halfords; may work out a lot cheaper to do it yourself.;)

It sounds like a wise plan; it can only keep the tin worm away!:D

Let us know how you get on, and how much it's gonna cost Paul.

Cheers
John

Thanks John. I considered buying the stuff myself, but like the idea that the garage can put my car on a ramp to spray the underside, and make a better job of it than I could.

At this Fiat specialist (where I had the 'box and clutch replaced), they've offered to do the underside of the car, and inject it into my doors via the drain holes, for £25. Which I think is a bargain. It's booked in for next Monday afternoon. Will ask about having it sprayed into box sections too.

Incidentally John, that link provided me with the 'buying a Pandy' thread. ;)

Actually, at the price you've been quoted I would certainly let the specialist do it.

Two reasons why I do it myself - the first is that I know what exactly has been treated, and the second is due to poverty!

Steve!

Fair point about knowing what's been done if you do it yourself. And you'll know that it's been done properly. But it's a while-u-wait service, so I'm hoping I'll be able to watch.

Paul

Well, I took it in today. But it was Schutz underbody treatment that was sprayed on.

However, he made a good job of heavily spraying it underneath, and even complimented me on what good condition my little Panda is in! Still £25 + VAT for the job, which will hopefully ensure she stays in such good condition.

Photos please Paul!

Photos of what??? I don't have a digital camera, but I can put something on my Panda website if you want me to?

Paul

Photos of the Panda of course!

[8)] Sorry!

If you have a sneaky-peaky at my website (there's a link from my profile), there's loads of photos of my pride 'n' joy ;)

I live in East Sussex too, and was wondering what Fiat specilaist you used. Sorry if I missed this earlier in the thread.

Thanks
Mark..
