Hello.
I have a 93 panda ( my first one ) and I have a grumbling noise coming from the transmission. With the car running and the trans. in neutral with my foot off the clutch pedal, I get a grumbling noise. When I push on the clutch pedal, the noise goes away. I also get some noise in first gear when driving and a little less noise from second, also when driving. 3rd through 5th are quiet. I susspect either low fluid in the trans. or worn bearings in the transmission itself. Embarrassing though it may be, I can't seem to find the check/fill plug for the trans. to check this possibility.
Does anyone know what might be my problem just by my simple noise diagnosis?
Thanks kindly for any help.

I get a noise in 1st and 2nd (750 FIRE) but I just put this down to the car as my 903 Uno did this too.

There is a transmission filler plug at the front of the engine bay, you will have to get this out to dip/top it up. I think it was easier to find when you are under the car. Have you got a Haynes / Porter manual?

Thanks for the info on where to look, I found it.!!:D
It is low so I'm going to fill it and hope (fingers crossed) that the noise will go away. I'm not looking forward to the idea of rebuilding the transmission.
