You know me by now!!lol...fiat panda fire 999. ok..the car would run but stall after 2 mins. found out that this was becuase the sprak plugs were too dirty. so i clean them off and put them back in. once again it stalls after 2 mins coz the plugs get so dirty. tried it with new plugs and i get the same. after 2 mins they look like theyve done 50,000 miles. any ideas on what to clean out and how. could it be the underside of the head or a knackered piston ring?

Without meaning to insult, as I've recently been caught out by the obvious with other problems...

Is it sooty dirty, as asked by Dave?
if so:

is the air filter clean?
is the choke actually closing when you push the knob in??

erm..well its is kinda sooty dirty..wipes off easily. air filter is ok and the choke does work although ive not had the chance to use it as the car stalls before i move it. tempted to take the head off andclean it out, tops ofpistons too.

Got to be worth a look at the choke, compared with taking the head off...

One other thing:

what does the soot smell like??

does it smell like petrol, or diesel[:0]

Probably is running a bit rich but i need to get it running long enough to sort the mixture out. Does need a good servicing as its been stood for 2 years. What could be the problem with the choke? It seems to open and close ok. Has to be closed to start but never runs long enough to open it. Think i'll just keep cleaning the plugs and running it at high revs to try and clean it through.

Petrol actually goes gummy if you leave it too long.
