Hi,
I have an Panda 1000 year 1986 and there seams to be a problem with the electricity. I have just completed a full service and gone through everythig mecanic. Changed chocks, start motor, battery and many more things. I got the car from my dad and it has been standing for 3 years.
Now to the problem.. When I turn the iginition on the only lamp that lights up is the oilpressure lamp. The startmotor works fine. Everything else is dead. No turn signals, no lights, no hazzard light, no ventilation, no nothing exept for startmotor and oilpresure lamp.
What could be wrong? Is there a relay in this car that can cut all electricity? I have tried to find a relay diagram on line but cant find it.
Would greatly appriciate help to get my dads car running again.

Half way along The negative wire from the battery there is a connection to the vehicle body. The connection at the vehicle body becomes loose on the negative wire causing the problems you have.
Fit an extra negative wire from the battery negative clamp to a clean metal part of vehicle body.

If the above does not help check the switch operated by the ignition key.

Sound advise!

also try cleaning up the earthing points found here:
https://www.fiatforum.com/panda-classic/344084-common-causes-electrical-faults-panda-classics.html

Also theres another thing you may have done..
on the back of the alternator theres 2 wires that go to the single ring terminal on the back.. one with a thick cable, and one with a thinner cable.. it is very easy to forget the thinner cable as it likes to hide in the little protector cap. if that thinner cable is not connected you will have almost everything not work yet the car will still start and run. worth checking.. even if its just to make sure the wire has not snapped at the ring connector.

hope this helps!

Thanks for your inputs. I both cleaned and mounted an extra earth and now everything works. Happy days!!
