(T) 1992 Panda Horn Relay?

Recommissioning my Panda Selecta & horn not working. Fuse okay but is there a relay as none visible. Connected horn direct across battery but nothing hence relay question. Thanks

mk2 pandas do not have horn relays, they are directly earthed through the push button in the middle of the steering wheel. they usually have a live going directly to the horn behind the bumper.

hold the button down and turn the steering wheel.. maybe the slip ring has a small bit of corrosion on it. you can take the middle button out by undoing the 2 screws on the back of the steering wheel.. give it a brush over and maybe add a dab of copper slip to it.

Many thanks I’ll try it out. I’ve checked with a multimeter and there is 12v to the horn so also bought a replacement as well.

Horn issue continues. Works fine with no ignition on but when on - nothing but a very weak and short beep. Have cleaned both earth hedgehogs by water bottle and o/s front strut but still no improvement. Any thoughts?

Put a jump lead on the negative battery and the other end to a clean part of vehicle body(Not the engine)
Does horn work better?

All sorted. Further earth cleaning sorted the issue. All good and recommissioning continues - went for a run on Saturday and all good. Full service next and ready for some cosmetics.
