Hello guys. I have a slight problem. I need to replace the two drive shaft support bearings on my panda 4x4. The MOT guys didn't like that the actual attachments to the cover shield were broken.

Since the 4x4s aren't covered in the haynes manual I'm not shure how to do it, or how much I need to dissasemble the driveshaft to replace the bearings, so any sort of insight into this would be much appreciated.

Thanks

on mine the rubber came away from the metal bit.. i "glued" them together using tigerseal. a polyurethane sealant. its still holding strong after 4 years!

you can also get a large ducting pipe clamp and use that to hold them altogether which is something i am doing on my other 4x4.

i did see new ones for sale a few years back but they were quite costly!

Well I already have two new ones, they sell them on autodoc. I think I payed something like 35£ each, so yeah quite costly I guess.

Currently the ones on the car are held down with zipties, but I would like to replace them, if for nothing else it would give me peace of mind. :)
