Hello everyone,

My story:
I live a bit outside the city.I'm pretty much exclusively driving on roads but In the winter they don't snow plow the road to my house altho its nicely paved so thats why I have Panda 4x4 1.1 SPI.

I really want to have some extra power to goof around with rest of the grown up kids so I am planing an engine swap my Panda.

Reading trough the forums I understand that ANY FIRE engine would swap pretty much bolt on and gearbox may remain the same as long as I don't go too greedy.

My plan:
Stage 1:
To begin with, I will start with engine from Punto 75 (I believe, thats the 1242 8v) together with wiring loom, (i think power steering is also possible to transfer as late mk1 pandas come with power steer correct ?)
stiffer the suspension a bit and put slightly wider tires (might need spacers because of clearence issues)

Stage 2:
If thats not funny enough I would either fit 1224 16v or buy AMR500 supercharger (but at that point a lot of other problems would occur) including but not limited to (safety, fuel pressure, ecu, gearbox)...

not aiming to break any drag records but it will be nice to be able to pull a lot quicker than people would expect that car to...

Your Help:
What else would you say I need to get started apart of an engine and wiring ?

Some nicely looking pandas in the attachments:

Id say the engine and loom are a great starting point. The 8v is definately the best way to add some poke without needing to make the extra mods required for the 16v!
