Petronella finally joins Denbi and Rio at her new home , bought a few weeks ago, no MoT, Sorn, but with new head n gasket, and cambelt change done by previous owner, along with a selection of spare parts ( including a set of unused nobbly tyres ), so lots of bits and pieces have been done to pass her MoT, small patch welded on sill, small weld bottom of drivers side B pillar, headlight wiring, rear brakes stripped, new cylinders and shoes fitted. Also whilst at my usual garage/MoT station, got them to do oil n filter change, coolant flush, and fresh gearbox fluid.
Nice to finally have a drive in her, initially shocked at parking speed by steering as I have been spoiled by city steering for a few years now, lol, but everything seems fine, braking also needs more planning than usual , the interior is quite badly nicotine stained and sunbleached, so somewhere down the line I may look at getting a re trim, since her test bonnet spring catch has disintegrated so I have a temp spring in to stop the bonnet flapping, front wiper valiantly worked for MoT but now appears rounded , and I have a speedo cable that needs greasing by the sounds of it, and wiring for my fuel and temp gauges to check, there are a lot of things to do, but i'm looking forward to it all
