Got a broken rear coil spring on the 94 Selecta. Are these standard across the range?.
There is a new one on EBay which states its 1985 to 1991, but that seems a bit limiting in terms of years.
Part number is 7585731 7635773

Any help available, or a source for the springs.

Thanks, that is a different part number to the one listed on eBay. Did they change the spring or just the number I Wonder?.

The earlier car shows two part numbers. The early part was replaced with the later number, and the spring changed to one with fewer coils. Presumably a different diameter of wire for the spring to maintain the spring rate, but fewer coils reduces the likelihood of the coils meeting each other and the suspension going hard.

There must have been a change at the facelift too. Spring rate may have changed, or just still adjusting the coil numbers. I had a 1987 750, then a 1993 1000. The later car rode better.

I'd guess if replaced as a pair, as they always should be, you could fit either, but if mine,I'd go for the later ones to match the car. I saw some on Ebay, Google should find them.

I’ve found a pair that had the same part number as you suggest. Will see if they do the job.

Just got to get the welding done............

Really struggling with these springs. Very annoying when you order something on line and they **** about for a week before telling you they don’t have it anyway!.
