Had my cousin visit today (Mazda senior mechanic) and showed him Mario tucked up in the garage. He instantly fixed a misfire by cleaning a HT lead connection :D. But then pointed out that something was missing! The alternator!!

So, found a possible ebay contender https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Fiat-Punto-2000-2006-1-2-8v-Alternator-63321712/132741967256

But there might be a bigger problem, no bolts. Any one know what bolts fit?

Any help is much appreciated.

its honestly not as hard as it sounds.. swap the crank pulley with that off a punto and you can then use the puntos belt which is a much better design.
the bolts all align up fine and you can use the original ones.
the electrical eyed crimp connectors will need to be changed for slightly larger ones as the bolt post terminals on punto alternators are a slightly bigger size.

Super, thanks for the replies. Dragon Man I found your alternator replacement post, after lots of searching, very helpful indeed. Mine already has a multi v type crank pulley so that's good news.
