Anyone stripped down a Sisley to make a stripped-down off-roader, losing doors and rear body panels? Am thinking of a "tray-back" type thing and am VERY conscious of needing to add strength if I lose the roof line. A roll cage would take care of that, maybe. Don't want massive height, just lightweight, go-anywhere flexibility.

Here's a good one too but the widening may be a little to far IMG_0121.JPG note that this is wider by the 2 spots fitted either side of the standard grill + 350 mm wider

The Panda you posted a picture, is a special version.

If I remember correctly it has been built in 1980, as prototype.

It was allowed to carry 6 persons, for italian rules.

Only 1 built, and missed now.

The name was : "Panda Off Roader" - built by Italdesign (an independent factory from Fiat).

In italian forum you find many interesting things, but you need to be logged in to see attached files.

The Panda Off Roader built by ItalDesign ,could fit 2 persons on front seats,
and 4 persons in the rear ones.

It had the same set - up as a Land Rover Defender. :D:D

Only 1 Panda like that has been produced.:eek:

I think the best way forward for that design Is to add a top hat section along the floor pan from the font swing arm to the leaf hanger box if 4x4
Or the trailing arm box 2wd. Made form 1mm the deeper. It is the stronger it gets ideally 20x50x100 x50 x20 1 mm section remove the jacking points and lay over all cross members folding out the cuts A small top hat say 20 x20 100 20 x20 should Then be placed directly above it for the length of the seat rail Then bolted through and welded Then build a frame work to keep the door postsand roof in place before the chop I believe that a bonnet can fitted over the cut section with a little panel beating to the
rear quarters Finishing the look as if by fiat Photo shop here for the trial look a cut down tail gate hinges down an the rear bonnet up or a soft top /Tonnaux cover
and rear fold down dicky seats .
