I made a funny and strange discovery today when I decided to try and figure out why my windscreen washer wasn't working. Fortunately the motors/pumps made a noise so I knew they worked but I was surprised to only get a hissing sound from the sprayer !!
I then looked in the washer fluid tank and ... :yuck::yuck: it was full of crud! How this happened I don't know because the tank has a cap! :shrug:
Leaves, a small stone, goo, grit ... it had it all!
I can only presume that at some point in its life the cap was missing, even though the cap looks of original age!







Anyway I removed the tank (only one nut! good old simple pandas!!) and then removed the motors/pumps so I could clean it inside and out then I put it all back together and hey presto it worked!

yeah, they do that.. though not sure about the stone?!

just be careful around those rubber grommets that hold the pumps in.. they often fail when you take the pump out. they are pains for it.

Seeing as there was a leaf and a stone it can't have had a cap at some point :shrug: Oh well, c'est la vie!
I was careful when removing the pumps and they don't seam to be leaking so fingers crossed!!
