I have found a Fiat Panda 4x4 BUT i rang the bloke up and he said the transmission is a little noisey and it is because a bearing in the gearbox needs replacing although he is not sure.

If this is so then would this be a big/expensive job to do??

There is no such thing as a big/expensive job on a Panda plus I'll bet someone here can sort you out with a gearbox if required.

ok, so maybe worth getting then. Thing is that i dont have the expertise to such a thing myself but there is a mechanic near me that could do it most probably. So shouldnt be too much money!

that scrappy has a 4x4 gearbox its the only bit they kept when they crushed one
they might not rember if they say they havent say dave says steve told him that it was took out before they crushed one.
if you decide not to buy the car pm me with the detials i could be interested
