Thanks all for advice on omega suspension...am still trying to source the rear spring caps (7536074) - have still got a few irons in the fire but the caps seem hard to come by - unlike Fiat 500 ones - every time I see a thumbnail for one of those I think ''cracked it'', but no. If anyone can suggest where to try (have tried the sellers from the sticky but have just checked the sites & not actually contacted them) I'd be grateful.
Anyway - the rear washer - when I got the car the reservoir connections leaked, there were two leaks in the pipe under the floor mat & the non return valve leaked - sorted these & it squirts like a good 'un now - but the drive up the side of my house is pretty steep until it levels out at the top & every time I've parked & roll the car down (backwards) the drive the screen wash dribbles / half squirts out of the tailgate nozzle until the car's on the level. The best I can come up with so far is reverse up the drive so the reservoir is always below the nozzle....or move.
Have put in a second non return valve (by the tailgate hinge) but that hasn't made a difference. Anyone else had this...am I missing a seal on the reservoir cap (to help create a partial vacuum), or is it something obvious I'm missing (that's usually the case).
Oh ...the non return valves were non standard bits but have made a difference to the washer performance so I presume they work as well as the original one.
