Time to get the dates and details sorted as time is running out.

It was briefly mentioned that the suggested dates are first two weekends in June 2016.

I've looked on my plan and map, there is a bit to much lanes and attractions for Saturday (from 11am) and Sunday (till 4pm) only, unless distance would be reduced but while we all will be here during almost summer time it looks like good option to concider.

Anyway the question is how about having proper panda camp (same as Scotish one) with two nights at the same campsite?

Much more convinient for people with long distance to travel, ( Fri, Sat& Sunday or Sat, Sun & Mon), some campsite does not allow less than 2 night over weekend anyway so it would be handy as the sites selection would be greater.
If not I will keep the distance on acceptable level not to cause discomfort.
We may dropp the exploration of disused Railway tunnels.

Please let me know your thoughts and comments.
 
Sounds brilliant Jacob, it's father's day on the weekend of the 19th so I personally think we should avoid that weekend.

All being well I should be available throughout June, I'll make sure Sam also has the heads up on the decision when it happens.

As we always say, don't try and fit everything in to one meet as it then leaves scope for further meetings :)

This is the official thread, but the NYM Panda camp in first half of June was mentioned few times in other threads. 7-8 weeks time isn't long notice but that's all what we can do, as by planning 6 months in advance we will be probably down to two meets per year.

Agree, but 7-8 weeks is still long enough to get the booking sorted, there is more than one campsite at the east coast.
I'm trying to avoid same discussion mid July that Freddy's event (i.e. mid September) is too short notice again as members have other plans.

I understand & I'm sure it was somewhere else - just didn't see it, and probably wouldn't unless it was a separate thread unfortunately. I follow some threads & try to look at the new ones when they are first posted - anything mixed into a thread I'm not following tends to get missed these days. I did see a thread about 2017 though, on the plus side! (y)

Many of the shows are booked & paid for in Feb/March, so it's always going to be tricky for me unless I know a long way ahead, or it happens to be a free weekend. Never mind, I hope you have a good time.

Small taster of cost lanes, this one seems to be forgoted by the Landy boyz probably due to low branches etc. Unfortunately due to gearbox/front diff malfunction decided not to go for two more, fault description in My Sisley thread.

Lane itself is really old typical valley/ canyon type with old stunded trees / bushes on both sides, currently used as cattle track, use to be dry stone walled but now stones are all over the track. Spend some time shifting and leveling the rocks to form panda width wheel tracks. High risk of grounding especially with std height cars, overgrown at the end so getting in contact with bushes is necessary.
As having fun and keeeping our / participants car undamaged is no.1 so this lane is kept on the optional list , almost parallel much lighter lane will be used.
