Greetings!
I'm a chronic sufferer of 'While I'm in there...'-syndrome - and I'm wondering about whether the front radius arm mounts come off? Mine are a bit crispy, and I'd like to do something about it before they get crispier, or the the crispiness spreads into the nearby seams.
I know about the shims and ting that are important for the tracking and not to mix them up / lose them - but once the radius arms are off, is it as easy as it looks to remove the bracket?
It looks very straightforward, with the brackets bolted onto the radiator x-member / crumple zone areas - but are there any hidden spot welds? Will I ruin the alignment of the car if I take them off?
As the car has been lowered recently, I'm going to get the tracking done anyway, although I know they won't mess with the radius arms when they do that. Anything else I should do if I'm taking them off? I was planning on just derusting the brackets / radius rods / surrounding crispiness and painting them. The rest of the car looks extremely healthy and I want to keep it that way.
The car has done about mid 50s thousand miles and the rubbery bits look pretty healthy still.
Thanks
