I posted a while back when I first got my Panda and with lots of problems with my car I've almost reached a point where it's "fully functional".

Having a close friend look into my temperamental starting issue, it turns out the distributor it's self was jamming up and not making the connection on the heads. This made it start first try almost every time.

However, now the weather is getting colder and damper, I am having no end of troubles with getting my car started. Soon as it's wet, cold or damp it just wont start.

So I come to you, oh FF, can anyone advise me on what to do?

I've read just spraying WD40 everywhere is worth doing but that's pretty generic as a response. My local garage are hopeless so please say if you any possible idea of what it could be.

Thank you guys ever so much!

Sounds like you've damp in the ignition system, I'd start with new rotor arm, cap and HT leads and see how that does you for starters (y)

Remove the alloys.

Apart from that it looks fantastic.

But you'd scratch the bottom..and it wouldn't go!

As above though, sounds like damp in somewhere, if you cleaned back all the contacts in the dizzy cap to get that working over the summer that might be coming back to bite now the weather is soggying up a bit. Cap & rotor arm are easy to find & fit and they're cheap. start there.

Oh and also, if that's a carbed car and you're under the age of about 40, you know there's a choke knob to pull out down below your left hand to help starting when it's cold or damp. Only you never see them these days, just if you thought it was just a hook for a takeaway or something.....

Cheers guys, I will have a look at that asap. Temporarily storing it in my garage seems to be doing the job. Thank you for the help!
