Another option for the tour, not sure if any of you lot know it?
Took me a while  Finally got there today to see this place. Took some more detailed pictures of said Panda, an early 1000cl I reckon. Bigger than the place we visited near Loch Tay. Not as picturesque perhaps but a mecca for Hillman Minx & FB Victor enthusiasts as long as you don't want a complete car.

That Panda is rusted to almost nothing, crazy! I take it you're probably not transporting it back to make a project out of it... (y) Not many parts that you could take from that either really. Maybe the grille and a bumper... :p Windows still looking good though :D

Engine and box probably okay but yeah im not touching it with a bargepole! Its actually one of the better cars there. This 126 has almost no 1/4 panel and a lot of cars are not much more than a roof sitting on the drivetrain.

The Panda and that white Polo Breadvan in the last post really do look like the cream of the crop among the rest of those...

What's happening with these cars then? I doubt many will be good for much any more but wonder if parts/what's left of them are for sale or something, strange to see so many stranded in one place!

Its essentially a very rural isolated scrapyard that's open only on Sundays. Although I didn't meet the owner Iv'e been told that cars and parts are for sale. It doesn't look like any new stock has arrived since about 2000.

They will rot there until Council or family members will clear them out after 'the owner' passing away.

Not UK based article but same principles.

This lot is well rotten, I wonder what makes the difference when comparing to the Loh Tay lot. Are these much worse as stored on open field when the Loh Tay were hidden in hollow / old quarry?

Id say quite a lot of the cars are worse than the Loch Tay cars. The Aberdeenshire yard is flatter and boggier and at higher altitude. But its also a lot bigger and has a lot more cars.

Ah nice, didn't know they came with that extra padding option. Looks quite soft and comfy
