A few months ago the N/S front caliper siezed I tried to recon it to no avail so replaced the front calipers discs n pads (well a mate did as my back was knackered). A couple of weeks ago I was getting severe rattles from what i thought was the suspension mounts on rocking the car the mounts had no visible movement but was knocking away so was looking to replace the mounts etc

I then took the wheels off and found that the knocking was due to the pad anti rattle clips had not been replaced with the pads so off the the motor factors TMS and got a new pad fitting kit for £2.50 now it's solid as a rock no rattles knocks or anything else, so if you have a simmilar rattle and you have had pads fitted recently then worth checking.

Just to add TMS were selling the discs at £4.80 each so cheaper than the pads.

Welcome ... and thank you.
A timely reminder of what comes of, must be replaced. :)

Hi Alan,

A useful tip there.

That problem sounds very familiar to me as well.
I think the first time I had this rattling was on my Mirafiori some years ago.
Since then, every Fiat that I've owned that use the same design of calipers have had these anti rattle clips missing.

Cheers
