Back on the Isle of Wight this weekend for the 2 day classic car show. We really should try to get a group going next year as it's a great couple of days & there's loads to do if you stay longer - also all the roads are narrow and potholed & perfect for swooping around in Panda's while embarrassing all the big expensive stuff!! ;)

Sadly Vernon isn't able to make it this year, but he did sort out a B&B owned by another forum member. The room is fantastic & I have high hopes for the breakfast too! I'll put details in tomorrow for anyone who may be visiting. Nick also has an orange mk4 Panda 4x4, so the 2 Panda's are sat in the carport having a chat tonight..... :nutter:

Saturday's show is at Newport Quay. A few pics of Howie are below - well I spent so long cleaning him, that I thought I could at least take some photos! He still scrubs up pretty well if you don't look too closely - a few people have questioned the mileage today, which is quite nice as they didn't believe he's about to hit 130k. (y)

Howie always looks fantastic, especially for 130k :)

Thanks Cameron - it took a fair bit of cleaning, as he doesn't usually look like that! Actually there's plenty of evidence of the mileage if you look properly, but he looks pretty good "from one hundred yards away if you squint" as someone used to say of a rather rusty 124 Coupe years ago..... Right, last instalment, as you're all bored of the same Panda by now!! ;)

How about getting some of the Panda's across for this show next year? I'm sure VmanC and scout would be up for it - maybe homeward and Didge3 plus everyone else (was trying to think who wasn't oop North, but Panda's do travel long distances of course).

Right, first things first. The orange Panda 4x4 in the pics above belongs to Nick on the forum triumph7 . His B&B is really exceptional & nicely tucked away in the wilds (but only about 5 miles from Sandown. There are only 2 rooms and they are both really very nicely furnished and a great size - I didn't find anything missing, and there was a fridge with water & milk, fresh fruit, homemade cake, and even a decanter of brandy on the windowsill (I kid ye not - but I stuck to coffee & water, as I had an early start!!) - breakfast was also very good & I managed to eat it all..... If anyone is going to the IOW please check out Nick's B&B at http://www.highpinesiow.co.uk - it's very Panda friendly too. :slayer:

Back to Sunday - the show is on Ryde's esplanade. I've put a couple of pics to show you the location - doesn't really do it justice, but the last is looking back over to Portsmouth. :)
