It'll be a 60 or a 75 since its 8v.

I reckon Talon since he's your daily drive and will benefit more really...
Fallout should be fine as an off-road toy with the original 999 (y)

Where did it say 8v ? Oh well I only saw 1.2 mpi in the first post!

Ta - in that case I don't want it & I'll just have Talon's cast off as a spare - thanks muchly! ;)

How serious are you at thinking of fitting AC if you had these bits?

its going to happen. one of the reasons why i am getting the bigger engine.

its a p75 engine. 73bhp (75bhp with no cat? as talon's year does not need one hehehe.. just wishful thinking :D) it has done 117k miles though. so i will give it some gasket and seal changes

i know the higher revving 16v engine would make the car go faster as the more revs the more speed. sadly less economics.

well if i could get my hands on another one then i would, as i think i will do it to both eventually anyway. the question is, do i wait for one with lower miles for Talon?

i have cast my vote.. i think being as i have fallout around the back, not on the road that is the car i would want the engine to go in.

sadly i have a bit of a disaster. i got all the bits from the dona car but the code box. and without that the immobiliser will never disable.

after buying one from our local scrap yard i have found out that all 3 items (ECU, CODE box and key) have to be a matching set. sady i have completely ran out of money for all my projects. sure, i can continue to put fallout back together but as the engine goes its not much good to me now. its only good for someone who can swap the block out and use existing electronics.

ive asked a few ECU specialists and they want silly money to remove the immobiliser system, and for an engine that only cost me £80 it is way not worth it.

looks like ill be sticking to 999cc pre-ecu tech for a while longer.

though i have to wonder if i can bolt a carb to it and the distributor from off an 999 panda.. that may be the way to go...

stupid ecus..
