Off Topic Beware: jedgley17 on eBay

Just to recap, as this thread is now becoming somewhat untidy.

1) homeward started this thread by making an allegation, allegedly on behalf of someone else, that I keep changing my eBay user ID. A quick check reveals that this allegation is quite blatantly untrue as my account was created in 2008 and has been known by the same name at all times thereafter.

2) Alixcompo then suspected that he may have purchased a pair of leaf springs from me and subsequently did receive them. He raised the issue quite properly and am investigating that issue. Initially I ran a search of my ebay and paypal accounts, but neither of these went back beyond this year. I am in the process of obtaining more detailed records from ebay/paypal. chaos very helpfully suggested ways on which I could improve my searching which I have implemented and the result is still negative.

3) After much toing and froing AndyPanda4x4 came out and claimed to have purchased some plastic trim pieces and fuel pipes from me which he alleges not received. It may be that this allegation has been made to support homewards allegations which by this point had quite plainly stalled or in the alternative may be a case of mistaken identity or further in the alternative some sort of misunderstanding. In any event I am investigating this and Alixcompo 's complaint with an open mind. So far, I have run the same checks as with alix and again I can find no record of any communications or transactions between myself and AndyPanda4x4 through ebay/paypal. To the best of my recollection the only communications between my self and Andy are as stated earlier in this thread and amount to receipt of a friendship request from Andy via facebook and a short exchange messages where Andy was inquiring as to what parts I had left for sale, followed by those communications that have taken place through this forum.

4) The yugo wheels came to me in approximately 2001 and were fitted to my white panda. I ran the wheels on this panda until approximately 2003, when I acquired a set of steel wheels with nearly new tyres from an accident damaged 2wd panda. It had been on my mind to sell them for sometime, but i finally got round to removing they're tyres in may of this year and listing them for sale. I have listed them once and once only where they sold to a buyer from france.

5)Finally, I am investing the issues raised by Alixcompo and AndyApnda4x4. I have so far investigated my ebay inbox for as far back as it will let me. I have also reviewed my paypal transactions as far back as it will let me go. I have searched for invoice 161 as referred to by alix. I have also run searches on my email account under the names "alixcompo" and "berryman". None of these checks confirmed the allegations being made against me. As an option of last resort, I am obtaining the records from eBay/paypal. Once I have the full facts of the matter at my disposal I will take a decision.

Really don't understand why you need to contact PP for the information;QUOTE]

You would if you were pulling the wool over somebody's eyes, then you use every possible excuse to gain some time hoping that they will forgot... and let you off.

NON of genuine ebay seller does change their account name that often, ALL of genuine selers does know how to track their account history, if not... there must be obious reason behind that.

A quick story to share....

A couple of weeks ago we sold an item on eBay..sent the item and was told it didn't arrive. We took a look at the feedback of the buyer and it showed that this was far from the first time this had happened. We coughed up the refund which was no small amount.

Now, either the buyer lives in the Bermuda triangle or....well work it out for yourself. I maybe peed off, but at least I'm happy that we are honest and that is the important issue. I believe what goes around, comes around.

@ Stu DemonD, the problem with paypal was me failing to understand that I had to manually set the date range that I wished to search. Paypal was only giving me its default setting. This was my mistake for which I apologise, it was not my intention to cause any undue delay.

Having now obtained a record of my transactions for the month of August 2013, I can reveal that they're were a total of 4 transactions. I can also confirm that no transactions took place on 25 august as per alix's claim and neither did any transactions take place on 26 August as per Andy's claim.

At this point i now conclude my investigation. I can reveal that if Alix and Andy did purchase the items they're claiming not to have received, then they did not purchase those items from me. If this is genuinely is the case then I do sympathise with them, but on this occasion I am regrettably unable to assist them further.
kolza, homeward's statement allegedly made on behalf of AndyPanda4x4 has already been proven to be totally untrue. Myself and firstcar Y10 have verified this, I would recommend that you verify this for you self to. Accidently broadcasting untrue messages is one thing, broadcasting message that you know to be untrue is a whole different ballgame.

Can you please provide evidence in picture form to back this up, as I have screenshots which state otherwise.

Feel free to PM these to me if you don't wish to publicly broadcast them.

Just to recap, as this thread is now becoming somewhat untidy.

How?

This is actually rather perfectly organized, compared to most other threads in this section. It's actually also rather a good example of Socratic logic: where someone posits a thesis, and then other people come in, ask questions, and discuss the pros and cons. Sadly, most/some of us have yet to reach any sort of conclusion, though, because all the evidence, so far, is one-sided.

I think your definition of "untidy" is just an excuse to recap what you see as your side of the story. :chin:

The yugo wheels came to me in approximately 2001 and were fitted to my white panda. I ran the wheels on this panda until approximately 2003, when I acquired a set of steel wheels with nearly new tyres from an accident damaged 2wd panda. I have listed them once and once only where they sold to a buyer from france.

So are you saying that the thread I linked to above re lewey's experience of trying to buy the wheels from you has been specially fabricated to make you look bad? Are you saying that this is someone-else's Panda, with Yugo wheels on, that just happens to live where you do? If it was only "on [your] mind to sell them", are your thoughts so powerful that eBay picked up your psychic utterances, and produced a listing for you automagically? (If you are from the future, and this becomes technically possible, can you let me know what year it happens, please?)

Yes, I too can do snarky; but I don't do vague -- and all your answers are increasingly evasive: as if you hope that this will all go away. Perhaps you are arrogant, and believe that your version of the truth is always correct? Please provide some evidence, and prove me, Alik, Andy, etc. all wrong. I will be the first to apologize; and the first in line to get the moderators to remove all trace of this thread.

But, as I currently see it, at least three friends of mine have been seriously let down -- and all the evidence so far appears to point at you being responsible. I stand up for my friends; and they stand up for me. It's what friendship is all about, is it not?

Accidently broadcasting untrue messages is one thing, broadcasting message that you know to be untrue is a whole different ballgame.

Why don't you just come out and accuse me and Andy of lying, then, if you're so sure of yourself?

I am utterly sick and fed-up of your passive aggressive tone, and your constant theme of I've-been-badly-done-to-and-all-the-big-boys-are-picking-on-me-miss. Provide some concrete evidence (not the constant lack of it, as appears to be your habit...), or shut up. I really have had enough, now. :bang:

You're very good at casting aspersions; but don't respond with any concrete evidence to those cast against you. Why is this?

Couldnt agree more with what you've said there buddy.

Because its obvious too all involved that this guy is a crook, and this bad publicity is hurting his "business". Greg1275 the idea that you cant see your paypal transactions is utterly farcical its all in your archive if you filter by date like I said days ago, just do the right thing and either post out the parts (if they even exist) or give the money back to the people concerned, and in the future just do good honest business. We are sick of ebay sellers screwing people over, if you dont like that we are sticking together to stop other people getting screwed over, stop screwing people and put this right! Groups of people dont separately all find out the same goddamn thing without it being true, you have been caught out, now stop throwing aspersions about about good honest people, apologise and lets all move on. This is a friendly club here, and none of us take kindly to any one of our members being insulted.

Ooooo......where's my popcorn??

Right, I'm getting bored with this (didn't take long I know) it would appear that people here have plenty of proof when it comes to payments made via PayPal otherwise they wouldn't be saying so... ( again, unless there is a stupid pill which can be bought in the classifieds I haven't noticed)

So, make your next post as proof that no payments have been received ( if your photoshop skills are as good as your PayPal skills we need not worry too much)

Alternately, is there a problem with the guys out of pocket posting their proof??

Either way, there will be alot of grovelling from the guys out of pocket if proved wrong....sounds like there is nothing to lose...maybe!

As for doing an investigation on yourself and reporting the findings....didn't the police used to do that...never felt right then either.

No one would like this to turn out as a Paypal admin mistake more than I.
Amoung the things I don't understand are why I was invoiced and not Paypal'd as would be the norm in an Ebay transaction.

However as all transactions are recorded and have their personal ID "Unique transaction ID" to be precise here's mine.

I'll be posting an image of the invoice.

I hope Mrs purple haze knows your moderating from several thousand miles away...? ;)

"Beware the Panda Face", indeed...!

It is a bit cloudy today...hence my boredom. Pubs are a bit expensive, fags are cheap ( just don't ask for 20 fags in a shop over here!) so I'm off to Walmart in a min to pick up a 18 pack of beer...everything is bigger over here. Oh, and I ordered a pizza yesterday to be told it was cheaper to buy a large than a medium...only in America!..

Jeez, I need to get back to the uk....

I worked just outside Chicago, quite regularly, in the late 90s -- the Americanisms become harder to lose the longer you spend there; and you come back thinking baseball caps and oversized ice-hockey tops are cool. Watching US-made TV when you get back will soon reinforce it, too....

The pizzas are good, though...! :D

If you find a monster-truck-sized Panda, can you bring it back in hand luggage, please...? (Bound to be an automatic, if it's A'merkin.) :slayer:

I've been checking the price of a Toyota FJ...really cheap, but I fancy the Toyota Tundra pick up... 5.7ltr monster.

Yep..I have to say the pizza was fantastic..:yum:

On a panda note, there are plenty of 500's, but no pandas on sale here..:(

Sorry guys...it appears to be me making this thread " untidy".

That may well be the only apology that will be voiced on this thread....it's gone strangely quiet.

Ah yes, default setting - how stupid of PP

It isn't exactly rocket science here but to be fair, with this amount of delay and stalling, you aren't doing yourself any favours. I can guarantee that if any of us logged into your PP account, we would find the transaction

.

Well, that's proof enough for me...I would just like to add that I believe the Apollo mission to the moon was a film set. There are weapons of mass destruction, they just haven't found them yet and Wayne Rooney is worth every penny he earns...now that I've got the sarcasm of my chest lets put this to bed once and for all.

The game is " you show me yours and I'll show you mine" we have one posted for all to see, so let's have the proof which counters this and we can all get on with our lives...and I can go back to sunbathing and drinking beer.
