Just a thought: if anyone needs to borrow a trailer to pick up a Panda, I have one you can use. It's the perfect size for Pandas! In due course I'll sell it, but thought I'd offer it for use on here beforehand. I used it to pick up the Mk1, and tested it with our CLX too.

Am in Liverpool by the way, but trailer isn't in use so I don't mind it being away for extended periods if anyone does need it.

Can it be towed by a Panda David? Physically I guess it's no problem, but is it too big legally?

Hi Gavin. Honestly don't know. Even if it were strictly legal (and I'm aware the legal towing limits for old Pandas are surprisingly generous), I'm not sure I'd fancy it myself.

Thanks David.

Hmm maybe I could find an old Regata estate (weekend) with a towbar - not asking much, haven't seen one for years!! I know the Panda's will tow very heavy stuff, but I don't feel they have enough weight if something goes wrong - maybe an excuse to get another car though!! :D

I could stick a towbar on the Abarth which might not be a good idea. Anyway I haven't bought another car since November......
