Hey, been looking at insurance for a panda and just struggling really. Preferably I would like a classic car policy which could guarantee an amount rather than saying its worth £100 and writing it off in the event of someone keying it.

Now I know some of you use Footman James but looking at that they don't cover people under 25 (n) Anyone know of a classic insurance company who might be able to insure me?

(PS this is not me saying I've bought a Panda (Yet) but have been checking out insurance etc.)

This doesnt realy help but I have only just turned 25 and my insurance is pretty reasonable, I just use all the comparison sites. Saying that, its not a classic policy, just thought I would add my two pence

I believe prestige do a discount for fiatforum members. Adrian Flux I have also heard are good, think they do classic policys.

see if you google classic car insurance comparison one of the major sites deals specifically with classic policies i just can't remember which one. whether it's go compare etc

just posted in your thread my dear it was the thought of PTP that drew me in this afternoon. Thought it had been a while since I checked in so went reading your thread I have left my praise ;)

Our insurance has just come up for renewal. Tried classic Policies and coming in a 4 times the price on a standard policy, so we're just doing it that way, if its written off by a 3rd party I'll still get a reasonable valuation with legal action if required, its just us binning it where we'd loose out, but with the price difference we'd need to write it off once every 3 years to be loosing money :p

Try Lynbrook Insurance, http://www.lynbrookins.co.uk/ I've got my Mk1 insured with them, they do classic policies for 21 year olds and over. My policy started on the day I turned 21 and cost me £211 for the year with 3000 mile limit and an agreed value. You do need to have an everyday car though and have to send a copy of the insurance cert for that car before they will cover you. So no use if you want to use a Panda everyday.

Hi,
Please feel free to give us a try if you like. If you wanted to PM me your details I'd be happy to arrange for one of my quotes team to give you a call back.
Regards,
Dan.
