This is the official Panda Camp 2014-Perthshire thread! It is taking place on the 13th 14th and 15th of June 2014 at the following campsite which has many amenities and gets good reviews: http://www.cruachanfarm.co.uk/

Address-Cruachan Farm Caravan & Camping Park
North Loch Tay Side, By Killin
Perthshire
FK21 8TY
Scotland, UK

As per the previous thread https://www.fiatforum.com/panda-classic/343789-panda-camp-2014-a-7.html?p=3436989 the following people are down to attend, please let me know ASAP if anyone else is wishing to go!

onemanmade
AndyPanda4x4
Giacosa
VmanC/PandaMo
P/Haze
Palio (not definite, but only one I can make)
Bougainvillea Rosso (maybe...)
MEP
Panda Panda Panda

@Giacosa has kindly offered to contact the "car cemetery" to see if we can view it, there are also plans to take in some Highland Scenery around Loch Tay, the rest I am just shamelessly copying from a previous thread:

To prevent the regular problems of people saying they'll come, then changing their minds, or finding they're busy because its only a month away etc etc and generally causing a world of pain for anyone organising, and usually leading to the event falling flat on its face, the following has been decided. As with Panda Camp 2009, there will be a single 'block' booking made (by myself). This will be done on saturday the 12th of April.

By the time of booking I will need payment from all who plan to attend, so the group booking can be made in one go. This needs to be done during the week commencing 7th April to enable us to all be placed on pitches next to each other. If you cannot be certain you can attend by this date, and / or cannot pay for your pitch, unfortunately you will not be included in the block booking, but you're more than welcome to try and make a booking yourself at a later date, but you might be in a completely different section of the park to everyone else.

I hope I haven't rambled on to much, and that everyone is happy with the above plans on organising the event. I know that for some the location and dates won't be best suited, but unfortunately after the failed previous attempts I see this being the only way of getting Panda Camp 2014 up and running

Useful Information at a Glance
Dates: Friday the 13th of June, Saturday the 14th of June and Sunday the 15th of June
Cost: £13 a night for two campers
Location: Cruachan Farm Caravan & Camping Park
North Loch Tay Side, By Killin
Perthshire
FK21 8TY

Booking / Payment Date: Week commencing 7th of April booking on saturday the 12th of april

Please pm me to get my paypal address, and subscribe to this thread, and put the dates for payment and the dates for the camp in your calender!
When you pm me please let me know which nights you are staying, for example some people are staying from the 13th to the 15th which is two nights=£26 but if you are only staying the 14th to the 15th this will be £13 as it is only one night, let me know! :)

I hope the thread meets with everyones approval if not I am sure there will be discussion at which point we can edit it if need be, I know that the booking and payment dates are relatively soon, but the sooner we get it booked the sooner we guarantee the places, and the sooner we can organise things to have a brilliant time!

I'm still game.

Is anyone wanting to do a Friday night also, as I'd rather do two nights if traveling so far :)

I assume this would be ok? Or are we camping 2 nights on the Saturday and Sunday nights

Sorry I'm already confused  :p

Just googled it, only 460 miles each way

Bring it on

Well spotted, I think it would be up to the individual if they wanted to come up on the friday night come to think of it that would suit me better, I dont think anyone has mentioned camping on the sunday night though.

I will add into the title post that people are to pm me which nights they will be staying, the rate is the same though, (I will phone and confirm with them whether this is high season or low season) good to get these things ironed out :)

EDIT I just phoned and it is indeed low season, so its £13 per night :) Dates have been changed in the title post too.

Rather spookily, someone has just sent me a post independence map to help find the campsite - they didn't know I was actually looking at the campsite details (or that I was planning a trip) when the email came through!!

With apologies to anyone with a sense of humour failure, are we near to Grieff? :D

Certainly gave me a good laugh!! I am from Pressedwick (Prestwick) :ROFLMAO:

Is there any limit on tent/pitch size for the camp site do you know? The only reason I ask is the only tent that we have is a 7 manner and it's actually big enough to be a Panda tent - you could park the Panda in it! If there is a limit then I suppose I can buy a smaller one, but that does involve spending money :D I am from Yorkshire remember  :D

There's only two quid difference 2-4 man tent size is £13 and 5plus man tent is £15 per night. I will list the prices in the title post :)

Its good we are getting these things ironed out :)

1 large man and 1 medium dog hut for me

If they don't allow dogs then it's my niece who is one of those wolf people from darkest Peru who eats marmaduke sarnies or summat

The website says "pets are welcome but we request they are kept on a leash while on the site and are cleaned up after immediately" so looks good :)
