Hi All,

I need a new Electronic Ignition module again.

I hear these are a common fault. So I'm wanting to replace with the best quality.

On Ebay there seems to be various prices all for what look like similar things..

eg:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Fiat-Pand...arts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item3389497b48

http://www.ebay.it/itm/VE520239-Fia...hicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item46107ad3ad&_uhb=1

(I know the last is from italy..)

But yeah the question is what are your results and who to buy from?

I am located in New Zealand which restricts a fair few of my options.

Cheers!

its a tough call, you dont truly know how good any are as it is down to the make of components the module has.

the one i have on Talon cost me £7.99 with free shipping. it works well.

my advice would be.. hmm try to keep it cool in some way. put a little 12v computer fan on it. these things get really hot and it is the heat that kills them. takes ages though.

when you screw it on to the distributor replace the screws with some longer ones and sit it on a bit of rubber away from the distributor as that gets hot due to engine heat.

personally, i'd get a few of them and keep them in the car along with a electricians flat blade screw driver. every time i see a car in the scrap yard that uses them i collect them.

hope this helps...
