what makes it snap?
the early ones had the cable through the bulkhead with no real guide for the cable to turn through 90 degrees to go towards the gearbox and they used to fray there. Later cables incorporate an "elbow" which is bolted to the bulkhead.
My parts CD doesn't show pictures of the different types - just one early LHD version.

Also, very stiff clutch action (for whatever reason) put excessive load on it.

is it easy to chaneg a clutch release bearing or should i just leave it till it blows out?
AFAIK, For a garage the clutch is a 3 hour job - you have to do all that work (detach gearbox)j ust for the release bearing. You'd want to do the clutch at the same time.

Hi
On my car the clutch release bearing had worn most of the way through the fingers on the clutch cover causing a stiff clutch(felt like standing on a brick)then eventually the cable snapped,so always fit a complete clutch kit and cable to be on the safeside, because you never know what you might find when you take it apart,
Cheers
Adrian
P.s complete clutch kit is less than fifty quid anyway, but then knowing how hard it is to part panda owners from there cash (unless buying another panda)this might be a tad expensive!!! LOL :D (y)
