Hey all,

I have just bought a Fiat Panda Sisley 4x4 from a friend of mine. I had one of these as my first car (SR 4x4 model) and loved it. When I saw it in his garage I enquired and said I would be interested in it and now the time has come for him to part with it and me to acquire it...good news.

I have driven the beast and she goes well (gearbox is a little noisy) and she turns an impressive and fun speed on the back roads I drove her on. She has just been MOT'd although she seems to have a slight oil leak from somewhere near to the distributor? Any ideas what this could be?

She is ready for collection next week and I hope to have more time to check her through but she could do with a clean and possible wheel buff (rust cleaned and powder coated).

Has anyone got tips or powder coating companies that can be recommended? I am in Berkshire.

Still good to join the forum and I am looking forward to using her for nipping to work (once the oil leaks fixed that is).

Cheers all and I hope that some of you might be able to provide me some feedback on the above?

Thanks.

Sisley..:)

Seriously, nobody's registered the username 'Sisley' before:eek:
Welcome, oil leak shouldn't be anything to worry about up that end. Either cam cover gasket or distributor O rings giving up. Stops stuff underneath rusting.(y)
Enjoy.

I was thinking the same about the Sisley name! You could sell that for cash:D

Oil leak is as firstcar said. Plus I will be moving to Berkshire next week.

Cheers all...I tried several other names and they had gone on the forum and just thought 'oh well' and used 'Sisley'..computers eh!?

As for the Panda yep I am looking forward to it and will post some pics one it arrives. I appreciate the info on the oil leak and have been trying to work out where it has been coming from using an old Haynes Manual.

She certainly needs some TLC and is no showstopper but still is great fun. As for the tip on the box I shall definitely check although my friend has always said it has been noisy.

Thanks for the welcome and I am looking forward to joining in the fun...

'Purple Haze' where are you moving to in Berks?

Cheer all..:)(y)
