Hi i'm new bought this off ebay for £135 nice little car.

I was just wondering if any of you peeps would know why it seems to hesitate when cruising along the road soemtimes?

and does anyone know what wire does what for the sound system as it doesn't work and i have a new CD player to go into it with some other speakers to improve the sound system, only something small not like my mondeo 141db subs :lol:

hi, check the hazard fuse as its the one that is for the radio as well, the red is postive, black negative, thick black aerial, then there are two red and blacks for speakers.

Hi John, welcome to the forum. The wires for the stereo are all fairly self explanatory once you have a look. When you say it hesitates, when is it? When pulling off? There are some very knowledagble people here that will help out.

Keep a close eye on the coolant level - if it's loosing coolant you might have head gasket problems.

BTW does your Panda have two coils, or a distributor and one coil?

The early injected ones with a distributor can cough under heavy acceleration, and then recover. This can be caused by excessive spark plug gap, or poor plug leads. (I think the ECU takes exception to a lump of unburnt fuel in the exhaust, and this version hasn't got a light to warn you - unlike the later ones - so it backs off fuel delivery).

at about 30-40 in 3rd/4th it hesitates a bit if you want to accelerate lightly, judders then starts to go again.

Dunno about coils/distributors/anythign really i've ony had it since saturday so i've only checked the oil (fine) and thats about it :lol:

will have a better look when i have more time.

If injected, give it a hefty dose of injector cleaner.

seems to be getting better after i added 3 times too much redex to the duel and have caned it about a bit, it wa parked up in a barn for a year

I used Redex for the first time in my Panda 1000 CLX yesterday and it definetely improved the way it drives. Good stuff.
