I'm treating Paddy to a CD player which I hope will be delivered tomorrow courtesy of eBay. While I'm wiring it I was hoping to wire the cigarette lighter I took from the scrapped 4X4.
The rear of the lighter has 3 connections. One is for the light, one is for the lighter itself, and one is on the rear of the lighter holder if that makes sense.
Bearing in mind that I haven't got a notion what I'm doing when it comes to electrics, can anyone give me some pointers?
I was hoping to power it using the same leads that the radio uses by splicing the cable. Is this possible?
Am I right in thinking that all I need is a positive power supply and an earth? I'm not bothered about the light as I want to keep it as simple as possible.
Any help would be very much appreciated.
