How come Caspars door mirrors mount much further back than the Abarths. Just a Mk1 thing? And does the Abarth have a 903cc or a 965cc like a Mk1 4x4?
Well I just checked and Jasper & Charlie have their mirrors in the same place as Casper.
I'm going to take a (not very) wild guess why they are different. If you look at an early (1st year of production) mk2 127 the door mirrors are set too far towards the driver & the quarter light won't open ( ) - after this the mirror was moved towards the A-frame to solve the problem! It looks to me like the early mk1 Panda may have had a similar issue, but the mirror had to move towards the driver to cure it? It's a theory anyway...... :idea:
I'm not sure but I believe Abarth changed the head etc of the 903cc. It's certainly registered as a 903cc still at the DVLA
