I have succumbed to Panda craziness and just bought two 4x4's.

Both beige, both e-reg. Both for £90! I'm sure thats a bargain!!

Anyone help though - apparently one of them misfires when you try and run it but I've gotta drive it home from the guys house.

Any ideas of what to take as spares?

I was thinking points and some spanners - what does everyone else reckon?

Cheers

Geoff

plugleads.. plugs.. would add the plug spanner to your collection of tools to take.

If they're both at the same location you could prove quite a lot cheaply by swapping bits between them:)

If desperation sets in you could tow the dud un with the good un.:p

FWIW I think the 4x4's pretty much all have breakerless ignition (but I might be wrong, as Haynes doesn't cover them, but AFAIK Porter does.)

Yes: Porter's manual does cover the breakerless ignition ...

a Tow-rope perhaps? ;) just kiddin. Definately Plugs and Leads. And some WD40 incase the engine is wet cos when i had mine, it was a bitch to start in the wet. WD40 sprayed over the dizzy cap and HT leads solved problem

Is adrenaline brown?

Sounds like the points, I a similar prob, the points arm worked loose of the base and the dwell was all the place.

Maybe too late for you now but hey, better late than never

Hey, get yourself an electronic distributor and coil from a scrapped Panda 4x4. They are a straight swap and the improvement is amazing!
