General PANDA 750cc REBUILD.

Yeah i know, they are Not worn but i wanted to re-build it so i can get good experance of old school engines, as im a aprentice Mechanic. :) just means once its finished it will last for years and years to come :) its not to expensive aswell

That's exactly what Im doing with mine, the key to reliability and longevity with any car is proper maintenance.

Hey Kyle, mike told me you were on here so couldn't help but see how my old panda is getting on with its new owner! Good to see your straight into modding it, can understand some of the comments regarding removing the 750 motor as was very reliable and could get 80 out of it but do think your right in changing it as you just end up thrashing it everywhere! Well I did and with the 1ltr you got out o my other panda you will notice a difference because I did when changing from one to the other, it's amazing what a few more CC's does! I told mike you can get a shot o the seicento steelers, a spray paint and some decent tyres and you'll be amazed at how good it will look after lowering! Keep up the good work and def sounds like you have been bitten by the panda bug to!

Hi, welcome to the Forum.

Hi mate,

Unfortunately there aren't any classic pandas in OZ (trust me I have been looking)!

Did find some for sale in Japan tho, but way more expensive than back at home in the UK.

I still own two back at home in Scotland tho and would def think of shipping them over but the costs are to high at the moment!

Aryt James, hows it going ? and yeah cheers, i had a look at those wheels today and is it alright to run them with the tyres on them ? they look a lot better just from the bit of extra width :) And also true about the 750 engine, its just a bit to slow for me, i know 250cc more isnt much but its still more ! :) haha

More photos :) new master cylinder to go on :) and engine bay re-spray, :D

Hey Kyle, nae bad like, you?

Yes no problem if the tyres are still good I have no worries with you running them with the tyres that are fitted. I think all the plastic centres + centre caps and bolts should be all still with them too. Graphite gray looks cool with a red car(hint hint).

Its good to see all the pics of the car on here, its a solid old motor!

You painted the patch we welded under the seat yet? I got colour matched paint from dingbro and painted over the patch in the sill with high build primer and then the colour matched spray tins. Not a bad finish especially with no filler! Cant remember if i showed you that repair but its on the drivers sill in the door opening.

Keep up the good work!

Ps just bought a 1.4 16v (95BHP) engine off o ebay with 40K on the clock so looks like the 1.2 16v (85BHP) might be free for an upgrade for you at a later stage e.g. when your insurance goes down!(y)
Tell mike to get some pictures of his one(my one) to send to me or even better start a thread on here!
