Hi everyone,

For many years I have organised a stand at the Chiltern Hills Rally and plan to do so again this time round. Our traditional attendees are getting thin on the ground now and I wondered if there was any interest in trying to gather some Panda's together?

The Chiltern Hills event is on Sunday 19th May, at Aston Clinton - dead easy to get to, near to Aylesbury and just off the A41. More info is at www.chilternhillsrally.org.uk

I will take 2 cars possibly 3 if I can cajole someone into taking another for me. It might be a good place to put Pinky on display if VmanC can make it, and definitely within striking distance of purple haze

The black Panda is going to someone local so that might be another, and if we get enough "classics" I can try to sneak a Mk4 Panda 4x4 in (Mum has just ordered one Ahhhh ). I know there are quite a few within striking distance of Aston Clinton, so maybe we could get a goodly gathering?

If anyone is interested please reply to this thread. Don't book separately without getting details from me though please, as it has to be done correctly to get on the Club stand (it will be a Fiat Motor Club stand in name at least).

What do you think folks? (y)

Count us in (y).

If anyone wants to take Pinky they are more than welcome, this will allow Barbara and myself to bring two more. If there are no offers we'll bring him and one other (n).

I'm just down the road in Aylesbury, I don't have a Panda but I do have a new 500C which I could come in if allowed :D or I could drive a 'spare' for someone.

I'm in as long as I don't have to work. Always hard for us to know until close to the time...it's just the nature of the job.. We will try our very best as its ideal for us.

Wow what a great reaction! :)

Keep the posts coming & I'll have a think about logistics.

We will need to book in the cars in advance or they won't be allowed across to the stand, so it a case of  until I work out a cunning plan, potentially involving a turnip.........

Hi scout500 and welcome  Yes I'm just down the road from you in Risborough. If you're covered to drive other cars 3rd party we can sort you a Panda to take. We can probably get the 500 in if necessary but they don't like too many new cars for obvious reasons.

If we can get Pinky over here VmanC then we can certainly get him to the show one way or the other. It's only about 20 mins from here, so if we have willing drivers we can potentially ferry any number of Panda's across to the show. (y)

cheekylittlescamp - no that will be fine as part of a Club stand. They have always been very accomodating when we had bigger stands in the past. Sadly many of the traditional attendees have got old or died, so as it's a really good show I thought it was a good chance to put some Panda's on display. :D

Edit: Just in case anyone was worried, I'd like to confirm this isn't an event organised by another club. I have arranged a stand personally for a number of years, and anyone is welcome to join in, whether they belong to any club/s or not. Most of the people there will be FF members, and many will also belong to the FMC. For insurance purposes everyone on the stand will be covered by the FMC policy, and the stand space will be under both names.

If you can get it to Princes Risbourough I will certainly drive it for you :D

Mind you, if you hang around this section too much there's a danger you'll have your own classic Panda by then. ;)

It does happen!

:yeahthat: Be careful, spending too much time here and you'll be nuts before you know it, I started hanging around this section last October and now I'm in the process of acquiring a Panda of my own.

More than happy to leave the 500 out of the show ;) it is for the old'ns anyway. One of the advantages of being over 50 is the insurance company throw in the, anyone elses car 3rd party, for gratis every year . It's been useful on occasion (y).

Unfortunately already certifiable, have been an active member of the Hyundai Coupe owners club (UKHCC) for the last 6 years :nutter: . Not sure if I want an old Panda but you never know ;) (Not sure if the wife would let me have two cars at once either to be honest)
