General Panda Camp 2013

Think it'll have to be Panda Camp 2014 for me (n)
Can't get hold of a Panda until the funds allow (hopefully some time in April/May) meaning I will miss the February deadline. Never mind, I can just look forward to Panda ownership itself this year. :)

Don't worry, when I said petrol head I didn't mean nutter.
Was thinking of my best friend Genn, the person who had a red twin sunnie 1000s when we were 17. The reason through nostalgia I got back into panda love :D Ohh and he's very sensible, his tongue is insured for £10,000,000
http://m.digitaljournal.com/article/268879 so whoever's in charge of the barbecue easy on the chilli!!! :p

Interesting reading, notice that Dolly Partons greatest hits are only worth 350,000? :shakehead:
What's the world coming to? (mind you she's knocking on a bit these days have her assets gone down instead of up?)

Read the op again.....it is possible to join in later...

i really want to join in with the panda camp, im not sure if the family have any plans for them dates. i'll have to check...
ive never taken talon on a really long journey. be fun to see how he fairs. no brake down cover though.. hmm i may have to look into getting that. still, i carry enough spare parts to practically fix anything by the road side. to be fair, talon has not had one issue since i started driving him...

oohh i dont know. i know it would be a cracker of a time and i'd love every minute of it.

ill have to dig around and check over some of my camping gear.
wonder if the site has wifi or 3G coverage... i cant not have fiat forum access!

heh if i do come along, ill be sure to bring my big bag of tools and spares! (that i carry around with me anyway.. ya know.. faith in "ex-5 year sorn farm working vehicle" 'n all)

only tent i have (that i bought back in 2007) is a huge 6 man tent.. would be nice as i could .. back the car into it. bit big mind. the cinq backed up to the rear door and fitted perfectly with the boot open... panda tent style.

oo tents are pretty cheap on ebay at the moment heh

hmmm what to do.. what TO do..

If you book a place but don't have your own Panda by June, get to my place in anything, leave it there and drive Pinky. Simples :D

I didnt think you had to have a Panda to go for those who keep saying it, I dont have a Panda or a tent and its on the weekend of my brothers 50th birthday, but I am still tempted to bring the family to show the strange Panda people, will be a bit like the circus lol

You're right, you don't have come in a Panda, but the more we can get there the better.
If you really wanted to give your family the full Panda experience I'm sure I'd have another spare one you could swap to, you practically go past my house to get there anyway! (y)

We plan to stay in the Panda tent but I do have a large nine man dome tent that may be useful as a communal area, especially if it r~#*s. Would we get this and the Panda tent on one pitch? bearing in mind the Panda tent is part of the car :p.

You are a really kind to offer me one of your cars, I appreciate that, too few people like you left in the world. I don't yet think I am worthy of the full Panda experience and I wouldn't want to unpack and repack the Seicento once I squeeze it all in. Mind you maybe one day when I too have gone completey mad I could buy one :)

Keep reading and posting in this section and you'll be plenty mad enough by June ;).

Joking aside it could raise a bit of cash for the renovation.

Good thinking Kev. :worship:

Ok, here's the offer:-

Anyone without a Panda of their own who would like to attend in one of mine should submit an offer to the 'Pinky Panda fund'. The highest offers get to take one of my Pandas, could be two, three, four, who knows how many I'll have road legal by June :p.
You will still need to book your place by the deadline so please make sure you have alternative transport should your offer be unsuccessful. You will also need to be covered by your own insurance to drive it. I understand that most policies only give 3rd party cover when driving other cars, so if you bend it you buy it . We'll be in convoy anyway so I can keep an eye on your driving ;).

I live about 60 miles from the site and the workshop is 40 miles so shouldn't be that much of a detour for most.

Ohhh I like it:)

Bagsy one with a beige velour interior ;)

Awww just realised I already have a Panda

It's gonna be too tempting to be soo close to 'what I call' Panda Central without popping in for a nosey. Such fun:D

You happen to be sort of on my way to the New Forest, I'd be happy to drive Pinky, even if it means driving a pink Panda... I'll also happily donate but if anyone else would rather the opportunity to drive pinky then that's fine, I'll just bring the GP.

...I've spent too much time in this part of the forum... :D

digging through my facebook albums and found a picture of the one i have.. to be fair i thought it was bigger. could do with seeing if it is all OK. the last time it saw daylight was 2008 :/

cos i could bring our family tent... that is big enough to hold 12 people.. with a huge living space in the center... trouble is we could not have it full size when we used it for camping as the pitch was not big enough :/
