First post - so just to introduce us - my wife & I have a house and car in Spili in the Cretan mountains. The car is of course, a Panda. It is a Classic with a 998 engine and I am beginning to learn the various model variations. I am going to improve it a little each Summer and have just bought a new interior to send out to Crete to replace the worn seats.
Crete has many classic Pandas rolling around and occasionally one is abandoned and can be foraged for parts. Sadly, I do not expect to find a replacement double sun roof so have had to patch mine until I find the money for a new one. It is now in a car park fully covered and waiting for our return. It always starts straight away!

I will attempt to post a few pics soon.

Welcome Steve.... As I said before, I have travelled all over Crete. The mountain towns and villages are my favourite. You can get sunroof fabric from pizza ricambo which on eBay italia...not too expensive.

Kev, do you have a link? I've looked on eBay Italia and can't find it. Definitely something I want to buy as stitching is coming away on mine and starting to crack. :(

Edit: Found it lol

Hi Guys,
Nice to hear from you. Our panda is reasonably rust free except for some cosmetic damage and poor paint on the doors. We may consider a respray at some point. Thanks for the info on the italian source for roof canvas. I will learn Italian and make sure I get the correct one. :)

I am embarrassed by my lack of knowledge of the model of Panda we own. The log book is in Crete so I cannot check it. I believe the FIRE engine had fuel injection whereas ours has a carburettor. I will endeavour to find out more.....

Carb or injection is just down to age, injection filtered into different markets at different times in line with emissions regs but variants of both FIRE and pushrod engines came with or without.
