Guys
I have just got a little bit excited and would love to see this go to a Forum member
1985 LANCIA Y10 TURBO RED, one owner from new, only 12,500 miles.

Have a look on ebay.

Great find but sounds like it needs quite a bit of work despite low mileage. I imagine the engine would be fine once it's been stripped, honed and reassembled.

UNO alloys and Panda 4x4 spare

That looks in amazing condition for a Y10! Shame about the engine, although it could just be a stuck starter or dodgy connection. It is also being sold by a dealer very local to me:eek:

buy it buy it buy it buy it buy it buy it buy it buy it buy it buy it buy it buy it buy it buy it buy it buy it buy it

Hmmm I think you should buy it:D

Worst case scenario you'll need to pop the head off and fill the bores with wd40 overnight. Turn the crank by hand and once free, drop the sump, tap the cylinders out and check the bores. New crank bearings and possibly piston rings are available and while the head is off clean and polish the ports and renew the valves and seals. Should be a weekend well spent.

Just done a dvla check on the reg, it has been off the road since 1987:eek:

The vehicle details for C814 CYN are:
Date of Liability 30 01 1987
Date of First Registration 13 12 1985
Year of Manufacture 1985
Cylinder Capacity (cc) 1049cc
CO2 Emissions Not Available
Fuel Type PETROL
Export Marker N
Vehicle Status Unlicensed
Vehicle Colour RED
Vehicle Type Approval Not Available

Well that explains the low mileage but not why it was only on the road for a year - at most!

Makes you wonder if it was stored because the owner was ill/old or if there was a serious problem with it. Also as the seller appears to be a car trader, very odd he hasn't at least got it running to boost the sale price - curiouser & curiouser

Still worth the current price of course (y)

Would have been under a warrantee I'd have thought surely

That car was sold at auction last year.It came from a collection that had flood damage, thus the locked engine!!It had the original wheels last year so not sure why it has uno wheels on.

I was sure i've seen it before.

Big shame for the current owner/seller only done some valettinig/ engine bay clean up without trying to sort out the engine issue.

Ah! I saw this one in the flesh at the Beaulieu auto jumble last year, didn't guess it was the same car as it certainly didn't look like a low mileage example back then. I think it sold for just over a grand in the auction there. I stand by my previous post, 'looks like a lot of work despite the low mileage. '

Hmm doesn't mention flood damage as part of it's history!

Still I think it's worth the hassle, as long as it was properly dried once flooded and not left with a pond in the footwells!:D

Engine isn't a defo right off either....maybe it could get a juicy capacity increase for example
