homeward you had a price for the parcel shelf? I nearly fell over at the price for the interior collected! (n)

So much for their listing saying cheap parts, I thought it wouldn't be the case when I was looking through their other listings last night.

Are you sitting down...?

The guy knows the parcel shelves are as rare as good FIAT dealerships... -- so... -- drum roll, please... -- £40.

Thud... -- as Jon's eyes hit the ceiling; and he falls, stupefied, to the floor.... ;)

TBH that isn't too bad, especially if delivered.

Wasn't too pleased with £200 my end though, and that was if collected :(

Can get a scrapper with that money and strip the interior out of it. Makes Panda Killers prices seem reasonable.

Wish I'd got purple haze to get me the interiors from all of the 750L's at Bridges when they were in at that price. With their pricing I'd have been looking at only about £80 for the same stuff. :(

Mine's collected, as well... -- and, although it's £10 over what I was willing to pay, really, the rarity is spurring me on.... And it's not even my car...!

I'm waiting to hear back from him.... :chin:

Ask him if he'll take £100 for the interior (seats, door cards / dash fabric etc) when he gets back as you're buying the shelf. Let me know what he says, if a yes I'm on it like a car bonnet lol. If he sees two in the same price range he might get the message :-/

He's just listed everything separately.... The seats are £80, the lot.... :)

Not seen the dash or panels, yet, though....

I've lost interest, now... -- after offering it to me for £40, he's listed the parcel shelf at £60, BIN. He's getting greedy... -- and probably reading the Forum.... I've sent him a very terse message.. -- and asked him why I shouldn't report him to eBay for agreeing prices, and then reneging on them.... (Sorry, Pippin.) He's on the same level as the Panda Killer, in my eyes....

PS: The dash -- although it's not clear what part he means: looks like the hammock, from his other listings... -- is now on at £40.

PPS: He's asking £20 for each mirror. You can get them new for a lot less than this.... :nutter:

More concerning that Panda has had a very heavy front ender, don't get me wrong, it could have been parked but I doubt it, and they're trying to sell the seatbelts. CRIMINAL!

FML £30 a door card delivered. I need to hook myself up with their crack dealer!

EDIT: doesn't seem to know interior light and rear view mirror are one piece

Sunvisors £28, not for the pair, EACH

:ROFLMAO: I'm actually wetting myself now! £140 for a used windscreen. They're only £60 new.......

£110 for a rear bumper - I need a lay down!

I don't know why -- perhaps it's the emotional attachment that comes with classic Panda ownership -- plus the fact that the cars are getting increasingly rare, etc. -- and I know a lot of you guys have probably been through all this before... -- but this and the Panda Killer has really pee'd me off, in a way I wouldn't have thought possible.

I haven't the energy for a proper, full-on rant: having just washed Pippin, and then having to cut, polish and wax the bonnet (again), because of a stupid pigeon using it as a toilet... (revenge, obviously...). But, here we are, trying to save these tiny, characterful machines; and I feel like we're being taken advantage of.... It's not like we're talking E-Types or DB5s, is it...? :(

I just can't see these parts selling for these prices; and yet, somehow, the Panda Killer must be making a profit. Who is buying this stuff...?

The guy has just emailed me, saying that he will honour his original price, if I go and collect, as originally arranged. He says they get a high proportion of what he describes as "eBay messers", though, who never turn up.

I shall give him the benefit of the doubt, for the moment; but have a word about his prices, too....

Jon: anything you want me to pick up for you? I'll be in the Punto: so not massive amounts of room. What we need is a van...! (y)

General Panda thoughts? Let me see. They are all ugly and your all mad. Apart from that they must be a really good car for the demand to be so high. Or your all mad ;)

Hi, well you're mostly right! (y)

They aren't ugly, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. It was designer chic before that term was invented - Giugiaro called it the most enchanting work of his life after all..... :worship:

The rest, yes all completely mad!! The cars ARE fantastic - try one but be prepared to buy one (or several). And yes all completely mad, but we like it that way...... Ahhhh

Oh no I am too scared to try one or I might get the bug (insanity) and then have a box on wheels sitting in my drive. I would obviously have to have the 4x4 version for off roading (never go off road) or the 100 hp version for fun. :D

Just the complete interior, but at his prices  :p Makes me laugh the way he calls people messers, he's the one with silly prices lol.

Mention £100 cash for the seats and all interior fabric bits when you're there. If you fit that all in the Punto (in theiory you could) I'd be over to yours ASAP to collect with a nice crate of beer also :p
Wishful thinking I think you.

It's probably going to break your heart, Jon -- unless you were the successful bidder -- but he's sold the interior. It was being wrapped up, whilst I was there, for sending off.... I only saw the seats: and, to be honest, they were alright... -- but not in as good condition as Pippin's... -- there was a little pilling; and they could do with a good clean. They'd probably turn out pretty well, though. (If you are the successful bidder, I apologize profusely for dissing them, a little....)

I also looked at the doors for VmanC. They were pretty decent... -- but not to the high standards desired by Our Lord and Master (who is very sensible and pragmatic about these things...). I must admit that I was tempted by them: but there was a small patch of rust inside, at the bottom, of the driver's door; and the dent in the passenger door was bigger than it looked in the photo on eBay; and was rusting around one of the internal bolt heads. :(

I think the guy could see I was tempted; as I also ended up with a gearstick and gaiter (and for less than it is on eBay...). Sorry, purple haze: but I walked in there with an empty Punto, and a large wad of cash -- the appearance of which brought a big smile to his minion's face... -- already to haggle like crazy for the shelf, doors and interior as one big package: only to be disappointed by the sold interior, and the less-than-perfect doors....

We discussed the price of the mirrors, etc. -- but he seemed confident they would sell at that price. I wouldn't have bought the seatbelts at any cost, though: as the front of the car will give me nightmares for days....
