my little panda still sitting in the garage looking mint condition with a little 903 cc in it i wanna give it some power for next year when i bring it back on the road (stead of a new car) what lumps go straight inwhich make em shift and what cars they from? :D

Hey Cinq you still got it then (y) Well as yours is a 903cc you could consider y10 turbo engine. I know they are none existent now but a guy is breaking one on the Y10 Turbo site. I got the impression rot had killed it so you could ask about the oily bits. I saw a y10 touring engine on ebay recently so they are out there. If you did get the turbo engine remember to take gearbox as i think it is unique to the car. Just go to latest posts on the y10 turbo forum.

Get a 4x4 gearbox from a 999 to mate it to a FIRE and put a 1242 with twin 36 downdrafts. Have done it twice and goes very well.

Hi Oldschool
Any picks of this conversion?
It wasn`t on pandamonium was it?
Cheers

ah, its OHC - i'l confess to knowing next to nothing about the Y10 Turbo engine, but i think it'd be easier to transplant into a pre FIRE car as the Y10 Turbo engine is pre FIRE too (isnt it?)

Yeah it's definately not a FIRE engine and i'm sure transplanting this into a cinq has been discussed before not sure how similar this is to a panda to be perfectly honest...

well the 903cc engine is the OHV type used in the Cinq S/SX, just the cinq has an 899cc version with hydraulic tappets.

i think anyway, i'm not too clued up on pandas either really

The 1372cc non-fire found in the uno should fit, a friend of mine has made this swap into a mk2 uno and the stock tranny will fit. I don't remember what engine he originally had though.
