Is Fiat still the only source of drive shaft gaiters for the 4x4? My nearside one is on the way out again. Wish there was a better alternative.

I got a First Line one for mine from ebay, so should be gettable from a motor factors also.

Can't be worse than the Fiat ones. I know they are only a 10k service item, but that seems awfully short to me, interesting to see how the First Line ones hold up. In saying that I have taken a real gamble and not finding any first line ones on ebay and being too lazy to go to the motor factors I order a universal one... how long before I regret that?!... I'll let you know how it goes. I see it as good research for when they eventually stop being made.

One problem with a universal one that I can think of is that is wont be big enough to go over the bearing that is on the shaft, plus if it is a drivers side one they are held on with a metal plate rather than a clip so it might not seat properly in that.

Well it's arrived, and looks ok... I'll let you know how it goes. Was a lot cheaper and cam with 90mls of constant velocity grease.
